The clip introduces the film’s star magicians known as the “The Four Horsemen” — played by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Isla Fisher.

The preview leaves us with a cliffhanger of what appears to be a botched deadly magic trick from Fisher’s character. Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Melanie Laurent and Michael Caine also have roles in Now You See Me.

Adam was cast in the screwball comedy from Night & Day Pictures, Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant alongside Mark Feuerstein, Danny Pudi, Jayma Mays, and Henry Winkler.
from Filmofilia.com:
Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant – a completely new project which will have an awesome cast on board. So make sure you remember this title!

We’ve just learned that Mark Feuerstein, Stanley Tucci, Marcia Gay Harden, Molly Shannon, Taye Diggs and Henry Winkler are all on board for this low-budget comedy which comes from director Sam Friedlander. Not bad at all, don’t you think?

Mike Sikowitz (probably best known as writer of 8 episodes of TV series “Friends”) wrote the script for this comedy so let’s guess that nothing could go wrong with the story. And the story will center on Feuerstein’s character, a womanizing, self-anointed ‘renegade’ male flight attendant Larry Gaye who must save the day when the airline he works for tries to eliminate flight attendants as a cost-cutting measure.

One thing is for sure, Feuerstein definitely looks excited about the whole thing, since he’s already revealed:

“I can’t believe we get to make this ridiculous, fun and incredibly funny movie. This character’s not just a male flight attendant – he’s a renegade male flight attendant. Larry Gaye makes his own rules and then he breaks them!”

Anyway, at the end of this report let us also mention that Michael Roiff will produce the project via his Night & Day Pictures banner along with Ted Kroeber of Kish Prods., and the movie should start shooting this January.

As usual – we’ll keep an eye on this comedy, so make sure you stay tuned!

From TVLine:

Scandal Exclusive: Katie Lowes’ Husband Cast in ‘Surreal’ Role, as Quinn’s [Spoiler]

by Matt Webb Mitovich

Art will kinda sorta (but hopefully not too much!) imitate life when Scandal cast member Katie Lowes‘ actor-husband shows up on ABC’s buzzy sophomore drama as a very important man from Quinn’s past.

Adam Shapiro, whose TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy‘s gunman-in-the-hospital two-parter and a recurring role on NBC’s new White House comedy 1600 Penn, will guest-star in at least one episode of Scandal as Lindsay Dwyer’s doomed boyfriend Jesse.

RELATED | Scandal Fall Finale Recap: A Killer Revelation

As Scandalistas know, Jesse was among the several Cytron employees killed years ago by the bomb that Lindsay was accused of mailing. As such, expect to see Shapiro in flashbacks that shed light on the couple’s happier times and the fateful frame job that robbed Lindsay of love but gave “Quinn Perkins” a second chance at life.

“Working with Adam was totally surreal and wonderful!” Lowes tells TVLine of the wink-wink casting. “We’ve done tons of theatre together over the years, but never anything like this. Plus, he might be the biggest Scandal fan ever himself, so he was jumping around like a five-year-old when he booked the part.”

Hopefully (though improbably), the marrieds’ loved ones will somehow never lay eyes on this TVLine story. “We are keeping it a secret from our families who all watch the show religiously,” she says, “so when Adam first pops up on-screen as Quinn’s boyfriend, our mothers are going to freak out!”

Scandal resumes Season 2 next Thursday, Jan. 10, with Episode 10; Shapiro debuts in Episode 12.

Final 90-minute Performance Show Will Air on Monday, December 17 (8-9:30 p.m. ET) Followed by Sneak Preview of New Comedy Series “1600 Penn” (9:30-10 p.m. ET)

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – November 9, 2012 – NBC’s “The Voice” will decisively declare a winner when the intense vocal competition series concludes its third season with a live two-hour finale on Tuesday, December 18 (9-11 p.m. ET). The finale also will be preceded with a live, 90-minute final performance episode of “The Voice” on Monday, December 17 (8-9:30 p.m.ET) — which will be followed by a sneak preview of NBC’s new comedy series “1600 Penn” (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

“1600 Penn” stars Bill Pullman (“Independence Day”), Jenna Elfman (“Dharma and Greg”) and Josh Gad (Broadway’s “The Book of Mormon”) – and concerns a typical American family who just happen to live in the White House.

The series will premiere in its regular day and time on Thursday, January 10 (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

“The Voice” features the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s third season. Celebrity musician coaches Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton return along with Carson Daly as host and Christina Milian as Social Media Correspondent.

In the final live performance phase of the competition, the top artists from each team will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and the two artists with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week, no matter what team they are on. In the end, one will be named “The Voice” and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

“The Voice” is a presentation of One Three Inc. (a Hearst/Mark Burnett company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.

In “1600 Penn,” the Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, children who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Elfman) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everybody else. With one exception: they live in a very special house. The White House!

Whether it’s entertaining foreign dignitaries, sneaking away for a night out, dealing with middle school crushes or putting out fires – figuratively and sometimes literally – there’s never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. For example, the First Son (Josh Gad, star of Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon”) is one of the administration’s biggest liabilities, but also the glue that holds this family together. The President (Bill Pullman, “Independence Day,” “While You Were Sleeping”) knows too well that the only thing harder than being Head of State is being head of the family.

Also starring are Martha MacIsaac (“Superbad”), Andre Holland (“Friends with Benefits”), Amara Miller (“The Descendants”) and Benjamin Stockham (“Sons of Tucson”). “Modern Family” meets “The West Wing” in this election-year comedy from Emmy-winning executive producer/director Jason Winer (“Modern Family”).

The executive producers are Winer, Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). Winer also directed the pilot. “1600 Penn” is produced by 20th Century Fox.

Director and Sopranos creator David Chase’s new film Not Fade Away tells the story of three best friends growing up in the New Jersey suburbs who decide to start a rock band after catching the Rolling Stones on television in 1964. Now you can now get an exclusive first look at film’s poster art, which appeals to the rock & roll romantic in anyone. ”It’s about anybody who has ever had a dream and about what it takes to actually realize that dream,” Chase said of the film. “Rock & roll is at the heart of the movie because for some of the characters, rock music is the gateway to transcendence, but it doesn’t end there.”

Not Fade Away makes its premiere at the New York Film Festival this Saturday, October 6th, and is set to hit theaters on December 21st.

Among groups, Center Theatre Group’s cluster of 29 nominations was far in front of the pack. It was followed by the nods for Celebration Theatre and Musical Theatre West (16 each), Geffen Playhouse (11), and Colony Theatre Company and Troubadour Theater Company (9 each).

Celebration’s revival of The Color Purple musical won 13 nominations, more than any other show. The runners-up were The Convert (11), Forbidden Broadway: Greatest Hits, Volume 2 (9), and Good People, Hey, Morgan! and CTG’s revival of Waiting for Godot — each of which received 8.

Ovation Honors, which recognize outstanding achievement in areas that are not among the standard list of nomination categories, have been awarded to Sacred Fools Theatre (Composition for a Play, Stoneface: The Fall and Rise of Buster Keaton), Theatre of Note (Fight Choreography, Hearts Like Fists), Theatre @ Boston Court (Puppet Design, The Children), and Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre (Video Design, American Night: The Ballad of Juan Jose).

Founded in 1989, the LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards are the only peer-judged theater awards in Los Angeles. For the 2011-2012 voting season, there are a grand total of 191 nominations for 77 productions, presented by 50 companies. There were 400 total productions registered from 173 companies. Of those productions registered, 79 were Ovation Recommended, identified during their runs as scoring in the top quarter of all productions in the Overall Production categories.

The list of nominees is determined by a tabulation of scores conducted by the entertainment accounting firm Green Hasson Janks. This year’s Ovation Award eligibility period ran from September 1, 2011 through August 28, 2012.
